Red Bull Double Don!!
One Piece Card Game

Regional Qualifiers & Finals Campaign

Overview

A national organized play campaign built with Red Bull and Bandai Card Games.

Red Bull Double Don!! brought together two major brands for a nationwide ONE PIECE Card Game program built around scale, access, and competitive momentum.

This was not a one-weekend activation. The campaign extended across regional qualifiers, store-level coordination, judge staffing, unique rules consultation, and a connected player pathway designed to support demand across the country.

Play Interactive helped support the operational backbone behind the program, aligning dozens of local touchpoints into a competitive experience that felt organized, credible, and worthy of the partnership behind it.

Regional Program Support

Operational support that turned local qualifiers into a connected national system.

Because the campaign extended across 27 states and 75 events, the work required structure, consistency, and close coordination. The goal was not just to fill tournaments. It was to help ensure the competitive path felt legitimate, well-supported, and worth pursuing.

  • Judge staffing coordination Support across the broader regional and finals program.
  • Store and event coordination Operational support across dozens of participating local touchpoints.
  • Regional tournament ecosystem support Structure that helped the program function as more than isolated events.
  • Capacity management Support across a high-demand application pool with limited available seats.
  • Player pathway support A clearer connection from local qualification to finals-level payoff.
  • Rules structure consultation Strategic input that helped shape how the event functioned in practice.

By the Numbers

Proof of demand, reach, and execution at national scale.

Red Bull Double Don!! showed the strength of the campaign before players ever sat down for a match. The program reached across the country, required coordinated staffing support, and turned strong interest into a connected organized play experience.

For Play Interactive, the impact was in helping that scale feel structured: aligned across stores, supported by judges, and consistent enough to hold together as one national campaign.

Spotlight: Demand and Competitive Reach

The campaign proved there was real appetite for a bigger competitive moment.

One of the clearest indicators of success was the scale of demand. With 14,689 applications for 4,690 available seats, the program demonstrated strong interest across a wide competitive audience.

The geographic spread also mattered. With activity spanning 27 states and 75 events, the program created broad access while still preserving the significance of reaching finals.

01 Broad access Regional events gave players across the country a pathway into the campaign.
02 High demand Applications exceeded available seats by more than three times.
03 Finals payoff The final event gave the regional pathway a visible championship destination.

Finals Event Execution

A finals experience designed to feel worthy of the full pathway.

The finals experience served as the payoff for the broader regional structure. By the time players reached the final event, the program needed to feel elevated. Finals were not just another stop in the circuit. They were the visible expression of the entire system behind them.

  • Finals event operational support Support for the culminating championship environment.
  • Competitive environment support Execution built around clarity, consistency, and player trust.
  • Player experience execution A finals environment that reflected the scale of the journey.
  • Qualifier-to-finals connection Coordination between the broader regional ecosystem and the final event moment.
  • Premium presentation Event execution aligned with Red Bull and Bandai expectations.
  • Championship payoff A final stage that made the broader campaign feel complete.

Unique Rules

Program thinking beyond staffing and logistics.

A differentiator within this campaign was Play Interactive’s consultation with the client to create unique rules. That contribution matters because it reflects work beyond day-of execution.

Rather than simply executing a preset system, Play helped inform parts of the competitive framework itself. That positioned Play Interactive as both an execution partner and a program-thinking partner.

Not just event support. Structure, consultation, and execution working together.

The Challenge

Supporting national demand without losing competitive consistency.

Bandai and Red Bull needed a structure that could support strong player demand, create a reliable competitive environment across multiple regions, staff judges at scale, and maintain confidence in the program from qualification through finals.

  • 75 store-level touchpoints Regional event support had to remain organized across a wide national footprint.
  • Demand exceeded capacity Applications significantly outpaced the available seats across the program.
  • 56 judges staffed Judge coordination helped support competitive integrity across regionals and finals.
  • 27 states reached The campaign required consistency across multiple local environments.
  • Regional-to-finals pathway The experience needed to feel connected from local qualification to the championship stage.
  • Unique rules consultation Play Interactive supported the client in shaping event-specific rules considerations.

Impact

Clear evidence of national reach, operational scale, and organized play momentum.

  • Large-scale organized play initiative Supported a competitive campaign spanning regionals and finals.
  • 75 events in 27 states Coordinated support across a broad regional footprint.
  • 56 judges staffed Supported competitive integrity across the broader program.
  • Unique rules consultation Helped develop event-specific rules for the campaign structure.
  • Connected competitive pathway Linked regional participation to finals-level payoff.
  • National-scale event support Reinforced Play Interactive’s ability to support organized play at scale.

Why It Worked

The program connected access, momentum, and prestige.

Red Bull Double Don!! worked because it brought together three things that rarely align at this scale: strong national demand, structured competitive reach, and a finals experience that gave the broader program real payoff.

Local events created access. Regional scale created momentum. Finals created prestige.

That combination helped turn broad enthusiasm into a competitive experience with real stakes and real visibility.

Red Bull Double Don!! showed what organized play can become when it is built as a full competitive ecosystem.

By supporting regional coordination, judge staffing, finals execution, and unique rules development, Play Interactive contributed to a program that matched player demand with national reach and a meaningful championship finish.

The result was a competitive experience that felt ambitious, structured, and built to matter from first application to final match.
